What biblical foundation should govern the pursuit of Christian unity?
Jesus prayed that His people would be one. John 17 places that oneness within fellowship with the Father and the Son and within sanctification through truth. Jesus declared that the Father’s Word is truth. Modern Catholic and Protestant reconciliation deserves careful examination in the light of that prayer so that Christian unity grows through shared submission to Christ and His Word.
