THE UNFINISHED REFORMATION · INVESTIGATION 17
Where Is Jesus Ministering Now?
What does the sanctuary teach about salvation after the cross?
Hebrews presents Jesus as our heavenly High Priest ministering in the true sanctuary made by God, not humans. The earthly sanctuary was a pattern that dramatized sacrifice, mediation, cleansing, judgment, and restored fellowship with God. Christ’s death was once for all. His priestly ministry applies the benefits of that accomplished sacrifice and brings the plan of salvation toward its consummation.
Reformation principle. The cross and Christ’s heavenly ministry belong to one saving work, not competing works.

Examine the challenge
